What is a queue?

A queue refers to a system in which individuals wait in line for an opportunity to purchase a limited or highly sought-after item, such as a limited edition sneaker. When a highly-anticipated sneaker is set to release, a queue is often set up to manage the high demand and ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to purchase the shoe. This system is often used for releases of popular sneaker models such as the Adidas Yeezy, where the demand far exceeds the supply. Joining a queue typically involves signing up for a spot in line and waiting until it is your turn to purchase the shoe. The queue system helps to prevent bots and scalpers from buying up large quantities of the shoe, and also ensures that the release process is fair and orderly for all customers.
