Who pays the fees on Vinted and Depop?
On Vinted the seller pays nothing on a normal sale. The buyer pays a Vinted fee on top of the item price (in the UK usually 3% to 8% plus £0.30 to £0.80).
On Depop UK sellers pay no selling fee but do pay payment processing of 2.9% + £0.30 on the item and postage, and buyers pay a marketplace fee of up to 5% + £1 on top. In the US, processing is 3.3% + $0.45.
So which is cheaper?
For the seller, Vinted: you keep your full price. For the buyer, it depends on the price, as both platforms add a fee at checkout. If your buyers are price-sensitive, compare the “Buyer pays” line too, not just your payout.
Boosted Depop listings pay an extra 12% when they sell, which is not included here.

Does Depop still charge a 10% fee?
Not in the UK. Depop removed its 10% selling fee for UK sellers in 2024; sellers pay payment processing and buyers pay a marketplace fee.
