Fees use each platform’s standard seller rate; open its fee calculator for every option. Postage charged to the buyer is left out.
Retailed works this out for every item you sell, with your real fees and costs.
Start freeHow do I work out my profit on a resale?
Take what the platform pays you after its fees, then subtract what you paid for the item, the postage you paid and any other costs such as packaging. The calculator does it with each platform’s current fees.
What is the difference between margin, markup and ROI?
Margin is profit as a share of the sale price. Markup is how much above your buy price you sell, as a share of the buy price. ROI is profit as a share of everything you spent on the item. A £20 item sold for £40 with £5 of fees has a £15 profit: 37.5% margin, 100% markup and 75% ROI.
What is a break-even price?
The lowest price at which you lose nothing once the platform’s fees and your costs are paid. It is also the lowest offer you can accept, and it tells you how much discount you can give on Black Friday.
Know your profit on every item
Retailed tracks what you paid, what you sold for and every fee, so your profit is always up to date.
