How the two fee models differ

StockX takes a transaction fee (9% at level 1, down to 7% at level 5) and 3% payment processing, with a $5 minimum. GOAT takes a 9.5% commission at a seller rating of 90+, a seller fee ($0 with drop-off, $5 with prepaid shipping in the US) and 2.9% when you cash out.

What changes the answer

  • Your StockX level. At level 3 (8% + 3%) StockX beats GOAT at almost every price.
  • Your GOAT rating. Below 90, GOAT’s commission jumps to 15% or more.
  • The price buyers pay. Asks and lowest prices differ between the two, often by more than the fee gap.

GOAT pays in US dollars, so only US sellers are compared here. UK and EU sellers can use the GOAT and StockX calculators.
