How do Whatnot fees work?
Whatnot takes two fees on each sale: a commission on the sale price and a payment processing fee on the whole order, shipping and tax included. The rates depend on where you sell.
| Where you sell | Commission | Payment processing |
|---|---|---|
| US, Canada, Australia | 8% (coins 4%) | 2.9% + $0.30 |
| United Kingdom | 6.67% + VAT (coins 4% + VAT) | 2.42% + £0.25 |
| EU | 6.67% + VAT (coins 4% + VAT) | 2.42% + €0.25 |
Trading cards, comics, sports and toys in the US
For a limited time, Whatnot charges its 8% commission only on the first $1,500 of a sale in these categories, and nothing on the part above. Processing still applies to the whole order.
VAT in the UK and EU
UK and EU sellers pay VAT on Whatnot’s commission. At 20% that turns 6.67% into about 8%. The calculator uses 20%; your country’s rate may differ.
See Whatnot’s seller fees and UK and EU fees pages for the full rules.
