How do Vinted fees work?
Listing on Vinted is free, and sellers pay no commission on a normal sale. The fee is paid by the buyer: Vinted adds a Vinted fee (called Buyer Protection until October 2026) on top of your price at checkout.
In France, Germany, Ireland and most EU countries the fee is 5% of the item price plus €0.70 per order. In the US it is 5% + $0.70, in Poland 5% + 2.90 zł and in Australia usually 5% + A$1.20 plus GST. In the UK it varies by listing, from about 3% to 8% plus £0.30 to £0.80. Shipping is paid by the buyer on top.
What the Vinted fee covers
The fee pays for secure payments, the refund policy if an item doesn't arrive or isn't as described, and customer support. It is worked out on the item or bundle price, without shipping.
Vinted Buyer Protection fee: what the buyer pays
The fee many buyers still call the Buyer Protection fee is the same fee, renamed. It is added once per order, on the item or bundle price, and never on shipping. Some examples:
| Item price | UK (3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80) | EU (5% + €0.70) |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | £0.60 to £1.60 | €1.20 |
| 30 | £1.20 to £3.20 | €2.20 |
| 100 | £3.30 to £8.80 | €5.70 |
In the UK the exact rate depends on the listing, so the checkout screen is the final word. Use the calculator above with your own price.
Why it still matters to sellers
Buyers compare the total they pay, not your listing price. A €30 item costs the buyer €32.20 before shipping, so price with the fee in mind, especially on cheap items where the fixed €0.70 weighs more.
The only optional costs for sellers are promotions such as Item Bump, paid up front. Check Vinted's price list for your country.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the Vinted fee?
In most EU countries it is 5% of the item price plus €0.70 per order, paid by the buyer. In the US it is 5% + $0.70, and in the UK it varies by listing.
Who pays the Vinted fees?
The buyer. Vinted adds its fee at checkout, on top of your price and shipping. You receive your full listing price.
Does Vinted charge sellers?
Not on a normal sale. Sellers only pay for optional promotions such as Item Bump.
How is the fee worked out on bundles?
Vinted charges the percentage on the bundle price and the fixed part once per order, so a bundle costs the buyer less in fees than buying each item separately.
What is the Buyer Protection fee on Vinted?
It is the fee Vinted adds to the buyer’s total at checkout, now called the Vinted fee. In the UK it is usually 3% to 8% of the item price plus £0.30 to £0.80; in the EU it is 5% + €0.70. It is not charged on shipping.
Can a buyer avoid the Buyer Protection fee?
Not on a purchase made through Vinted. Buying several items from the same seller as a bundle lowers it, because the fixed part is charged once per order.
