How do Catawiki fees work?
Listing an object for auction on Catawiki is free. When it sells, Catawiki takes a seller commission of 12.5% of the winning bid, before VAT. VAT is added on top where it applies, so check your invoice.
What the buyer pays
The buyer pays a Buyer Protection fee of 9% of the winning bid plus a fixed amount, usually €3, £3 or $3, VAT included. Catawiki says the fixed part can differ depending on the type of object. Shipping is paid by the buyer on top.
Setting a reserve price
Because buyers add about 9% to their bid, a reserve price that covers your costs after the 12.5% commission is the safest way to avoid selling at a loss.
See Catawiki's Buyer Protection fee page for the full rules.
